The Woodcut Tools Pro-Forme Hollowing Tool has been trusted by turners since 1995 for controlled, freehand hollowing. Built for larger hollow forms, the Solid system delivers strength, stability and clean shaving performance.
At the heart of every kit is the Pro-Forme Powerhead Cutter.
The distinctive cutter shape, influenced by the curved form of French tapestry tools, evolved into what is now known as the Pro-Forme Powerhead. Its narrow nose is designed for efficient end grain cutting, while the open side profile, often referred to as the “big exhaust”, clears shavings quickly and cleanly. The tall bevel profile allows the turner to roll smoothly on and off the cut, producing controlled, flowing shavings rather than dust.
Kit Options
Starter Kit
Straight Shaft with Powerhead and Pro-Master Handle. Ideal for forming the opening and removing wood down the sides and across the bottom of the vessel.
Intermediate Kit
Straight and Bent Shafts with two Powerheads and Pro-Master Handle. The bent shaft allows controlled cutting under the shoulder.
Advanced Kit
Straight, Slightly Bent and Bent Shafts with three Powerheads and Pro-Master Handle. Designed for full access across complex hollow form shapes and deeper shoulders.

Expand Your System
The Pro-Forme Solid system is modular.
If you already own a shaft with Powerhead, you can purchase additional Pro-Forme Eco Shafts and move your cutter between shafts. This allows you to expand your setup without purchasing multiple cutters.
You can also add additional cutters including the Pro-Scraper Adaptor Head and Little Wonder Cup Tool Head, which attach directly to the same Pro-Forme shaft.

I bought the Advanced Kit and the Toolgate. I am absolutely thrilled with this tool. Super cutting results and very well adjustable. Too bad I didn't have this set earlier, I would have saved a lot of time. Thanks to Woodcut-Tools
