Pro-Forme Flexi Hollower with Powerhead 1/2"

The Woodcut Tools Pro-Forme Hollowing System has been trusted by woodturners since 1995 for controlled, freehand hollowing. Designed for small to medium hollow forms and vessels with restricted openings, the Pro-Forme Flexi combines an articulated shaft with the renowned 1/2" Pro-Forme Flexi Powerhead, delivering outstanding access, control, and clean shaving performance.

The articulated design features two high-tensile joints, one short straight and one bent, allowing the tool to navigate tight hollow form necks while maintaining excellent cutting control.

At the heart of every tool is the 1/2" Pro-Forme Flexi Powerhead. Its distinctive cutter design is an evolution of the traditional hook tool, refined over many years through customer feedback and practical woodturning experience. The narrow nose efficiently cuts end grain, while the broad cutting edge removes side grain quickly and leaves an excellent finish directly from the tool. The large side opening, often referred to as the "big exhaust", clears shavings efficiently, while the tall bevel profile allows the turner to roll smoothly on and off the cut for controlled, flowing shavings rather than dust.

Shaft Options

Choose the shaft diameter best suited to your turning style and project:

1/2" Diameter Shaft

Ideal for maximum manoeuvrability and access through very small openings.

5/8" Diameter Shaft

Provides additional rigidity while maintaining the flexibility of the articulated design.

Both shaft options use the same 1/2" Pro-Forme Flexi Powerhead.

Build Your Pro-Forme Flexi System

The Pro-Forme Flexi system is designed around versatility.

The same Flexi shaft can be fitted with either the 1/2" Pro-Forme Flexi Powerhead or the Pro-Scraper Adaptor and cutters, allowing you to quickly move from hollowing to finishing using the same shaft.

Additional 1/2" Pro-Forme Flexi Powerheads are also available, allowing multiple shafts to remain assembled and ready to use.
